BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--Bakersfield, the co-regular season WAC baseball champions head to Grand Prairie, Texas this week for WAC Tournament.
Bakersfield tied with UT Arlington for the league regular season title, but CSUB earned the No. 1 seed at the WAC Tournament via a tiebreaker. Bakersfield defeated the Mavericks in 2-of-3 games played Apr. 5-7 in Arlington.
The Roadrunners face San Jose State, the eighth seed, in the Wednesday opener (3 p.m., CDT). CSUB takes on the fifth seed, Sacramento State on Thursday at 7 p.m. (CDT). Pool play concludes for Bakersfield on Friday when the Roadrunners play UTSA at 7 p.m. (CDT).
At Tuesday night's WAC Banquet, All-Conference, WAC Freshman of the Year, WAC Pitcher of the Year, and WAC Player of the Year will be announced.
