BAKERSFIELD, Calif.- Roadrunner baseball fans and the Bakersfield community will be able to enjoy the Western Athletic Conference baseball tournament with live audio all week as the top-seeded Roadrunners play at QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie, Texas. Tournament games will be available on GoRunners.com and SmartTalk 1230 KGEO.
Wednesday's game will be an internet-only broadcast with coverage beginning at 12:50 (PDT) as the Roadrunners take on San Jose State.
Thursday Bakersfield will take on Sacramento State beginning at 4:45 P.M. (PST) with live coverage available both online at GoRunners.com and on SmartTalk 1230 (KGEO) in Bakersfield. Friday's matchup against UT San Antonio will also be available live at 4:45 P.M. on SmartTalk 1230 and GoRunners.com.
The games are presented by WA Thompson, the title sponsor for CSUB's radio coverage of the tournament.
Should the Roadrunners advance to the WAC Championship Game on Sunday, that game will also be carried live on SmartTalk 1230 and GoRunners.com beginning at 10:45 A.M. The game will determine the conference's representative at the NCAA Regionals.
Corey Costelloe will provide the play-by-play for Bakersfield. This marks the first time in the short five-year history of Bakersfield baseball that the Roadrunners are playing in a conference tournament. They earned the number-one seed and the WAC regular season title with their 14-6 win Saturday at San Jose State.
