Manheim, Pa. –The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) has announced its annual Division I All-Academic Top 30 Teams and Individual All-Academic wrestling team for the 2012-13 wrestling season.

Bakersfield is 22nd on the Division I All-Academic Top 30 list with a team GPA of 3.07. Harvard (3.418) leads the top 30 chart.

Bakersfield's Tyler Iwamura (R-Sr., San Diego, Calif., Santa Fe Chrisitan HS) and Ian Nickell (R-Fr., Bakersfield, Calif., Bakersfield HS) were selected to the individual All-Academic team. Iwamura earned his spot by making the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships while Nickell was awarded a spot via his overall record. This was the fourth year in a row Iwamura has earned the honor from the NWCA.
