WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--CSU Bakersfield redshirt senior Tyler Iwamura (San Diego, Calif., Santa Fe Christian HS) was selected first team Academic All-Pac-12 Tuesday. Iwamura, the 2013 Pac-12 champion at 125 pounds maintains a 3.53 GPA in his business accounting major.

Two other Roadrunners  were selected first team Academic All-Conference.  Joining Iwamura on the first team were Ian Nickell (R-Fr., Bakersfield, Calif., Bakersfield HS), Dalton Kelley (R-Jr., 149, Alamosa, Colo., Alamosa HS) and Reuben Franklin (So., 184, Murrieta, Calif., Vista Murrieta HS).  Timmy Box (R-Fr., Bakersfield, Calif., Bakersfield HS) and Miguel Comparan (R-Sr., Buena Park, Calif., Buena Park HS) earned honorable mention Academic All-Conference honors.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be a significant contributor.
